Hotel Airone in Portoferraio is mentioned in the Michelin 2009 Guide

The hotel is situated in front of the splendid fortress, the Rocca Medicea di Portoferraio, in a very quiet area of the Isle of Elba. It is surrounded by the greenery of a large park (30.000 sqm) that extends all the way down to the sea.

Each of the hotel's 85 completely renovated rooms in the main building, with balconies or gardens, is fully equipped with telephone, television, private bathroom, hairdryer, central air conditioning with individual control and minibar (on request). The quadruple accomodations that open onto the hotel park are on the ground floor, and are composed of two interconnecting rooms: one double and one twin room. The double and triple (one double and one single room) accommodations are on the first floor.

Hotel Airone also has a private renovated jetty for boats and rubber dinghies

Residence Aironella near Hotel Airone – Elba Island 

In the Residence Aironella, a recently renovated farm house, only 250 m from the main building, there are 11 apartments: one, two or three room flats, for two to six people.
