CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT 

The hotel stay means arrival at the facility from 14.00 onwards and departure by 10.00. If you need to arrive earlier, please let us know so that our staff can welcome you properly. 

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations: we offer fully refundable rates with variable terms depending on the period booked, from 72 hours to 14 days before the arrival date. For other types of rates requiring a deposit and to manage penalties for delays in arrival or early departure, we recommend purchasing the Care4UHotel insurance policy (cost: 4.8% of the total stay, to be purchased within 48 hours of booking). FERRY 

When you confirm your booking, ask for the ferry code and obtain a discount of up to 20% on a deck ticket and for the car. 

TRANSFER 

On request, we can organize a private transfer service to/from the port of Portoferraio (15.00/ €18.00 one way) and from/to the airport (€50.00 one way). 

BREAKFAST 

From 7.30 to 10.00 our hotel offers an exquisite breakfast in what we have dubbed the Giardino degli Aironi, a green and pleasantly breezy park where tables are set out when the weather is good, in the calm and peaceful shade of the eucalyptus trees. Home-made pastries are accompanied by organic and light products, a wide selection of local delicacies, from jams to fresh fruit, and a rich selection of cheeses, cold cuts, bread and focaccia, toast, cornflakes, muesli and cereals. as well as eggs with bacon and omelettes freshly made by our chefs. The dishes are accompanied by coffee, tea, milk and other drinks, fruit juices and freshly squeezed juices served at the table. For those who wish to enjoy breakfast in their room, why not make your selection and book the breakfast menu the previous evening and our staff will bring it to the room at the agreed time. 

LA RADA BAR

Our poolside bar, open from nine to midnight, is the ideal place to cool off and unwind on hot summer days. Here our guests can enjoy a coffee or a refreshing drink, light lunches, ice creams, sandwiches, snacks and fresh fruit salads during the day, or appreciate an after dinner cocktail admiring the magical spectacle of a starry night, accompanied by relaxing live music. At sunset, La Rada becomes the perfect setting in which to sip the incomparable long drinks prepared by our expert barmen. Let yourself be blown away by the flavours of the inviting aperitifs proposed by our new Bar Manager Giuseppe. 

LE ANTICHE SALINE RESTAURANT 

At the Le Antiche Saline restaurant we offer an informal yet carefully planned lunch menu, featuring express main courses, grilled fish of the day, pizza made with long-leavened dough baked in our wood-fired oven, and a delicious buffet of salads and vegetables. Dinner for half-board guests is of notable gastronomic value: it is served at the table with a choice of four different menus and is accompanied by an excellent buffet of vegetables, salads, cheeses and pastries (drinks not included).
Guests are also delighted by our Chef’s creativity during the Theme Evenings, with tasting menus offering Mediterranean-style cuisine, mouth-watering recipes inspired by Tuscan and Elban traditions, and original vegetarian dishes, with special attention paid to individual dietary requirements. All our dishes are prepared using high-quality ingredients and carefully selected local products.
From mid-June to mid-September, let yourself be tempted by our special buffet evenings, the “Magic Nights” on Fridays: a true culinary experience where every dish is an irresistible temptation, all enjoyed with the impeccable service of our dining staff, always attentive and courteous, under the coordination of our Maître.

NEW FOR 2026: SUMMER POOLSIDE BUFFET

From mid-June to mid-September, treat yourself to our summer poolside buffet: a rich selection of hot and cold dishes, perfect for a relaxing and tasty break, with a special corner dedicated to children.
€20 per adult and €10 for children up to 13 years old (when accompanied by at least one paying adult). Drinks not included.
During the rest of the year, an à la carte menu is available.

CHILDREN’S MENU 

For our younger guests, in addition to the half-board menu, we offer the “Peter Pan Menu”, specially designed for children. And if you have not chosen the half-board option, no problem: you can reserve your table and enjoy the half-board menu with à la carte payment.

SEA AND SWIMMING POOLS 

Our guests are able to take advantage of our private beach (sandy), equipped with sunbeds and parasols, the Olympic-sized salt water swimming pool and the special open-air hot tub. Children can enjoy the round sloping pool, with a slide and lots of toys. Alternatively, by reservation and subject to availability, you can visit Bagnaia beach by sea on board our taxi-boat; we will be able to book parasols and sunbeds for you at a special price, reserved only for guests of the Hotel Airone (this is a paid service, active from 10 June to 7 September). Our hotel also benefits from an arrangement with Lacona beach, which can be reached in just ten minutes by car and has a private car park. And to enjoy a truly exclusive experience, our Captain Michel organizes dinghy trips in the summer months to visit the most beautiful coves on the island: a two-hour trip to see the island of Elba as you’ve never seen it before, immersing yourself in its crystal clear waters, accompanied by the stories and anecdotes of an Elban DOC (this is a paid service requiring reservation).

EQUIPPED PIER SUPPLYING DINGHIES AND BOATS 

The Hotel Airone is one of the few hotels in Elba with a private pier, equipped to supply electricity and water, from which you can access all the most beautiful beaches on the coast. The rates for this wonderful facility, which allows you to easily moor your boat/dinghy “near your home”, start at €30.00 per day for smaller craft and include the appropriate insurance. CHILDREN 

In our hotel children are guests of honour. We want your family holidays to be carefree and enjoyable which is why we take care of your children as if they were our own. From mid-June to mid-September, from morning to evening, our team of professional activity leaders takes care of their entertainment, organising games, workshops and lots and lots of activities at our Mini Club, a real amusement park for children and teenagers. To meet the needs of different age groups, we offer a Baby Club especially for little ones, aged 4 to 8, and a Junior Club for the older ones.

From about mid-June to mid-September, our hotel offers daily sessions with sports activities for adults, led by our Minna, ultramarathon runner and athletics trainer:

If you want, for a fee you can negotiate a personalised training programme with our Minna, our Fitness Manager. 

For the more sporty, our hotel offers free tennis courts, a fitness trail, ping-pong, a jogging trail or a walk along the sea shore, through the age-old spa park, with the enchanting view of the Rocca di Portoferraio. It is also possible to book swimming lessons with an FIP instructor, mountain bike trips, trekking and walks along the most picturesque paths on the island. 

YOGA 

The practice of yoga encourages the stretching of the muscles and the oxygenation of the body by employing special breathing techniques. It is an excellent exercise for releasing tension: yoga, in fact, increases concentration and self-awareness, a very important factor in breaking the vicious circle of stress, recharging with new energy and feeling free and in perfect harmony between body and soul. At the Hotel Airone we offer opportunities to practise this activity because we like to think that our hotel is also a place to get together, relax and dedicate yourself to holistic disciplines. We have been collaborating for years with yoga teachers and schools which have chosen our facility as a base for their retreats on Elba. In the quiet and relaxed space of our park, it is possible to experience moments of pure relaxation between sea and nature, suitable for everyone: from those who practise regularly, to the curious who want to try this discipline and enjoy its benefits. DIVE CENTRE 

“At last you’ll be able to familiarise yourself with two thirds of the world in which you live!” This is the phrase Diving in Elba uses to introduce itself to all those who are starting out on their diving experience. Diving in Elba has been based at the Hotel Airone for years now. The instructors, all certified with many years of experience, offer a wide range of courses, from introductory diving to professional courses, in a young and cheerful environment but always attentive to the needs of the students and their safety. Courses are available for children aged 8 and over with the Scuba Baby School, where selected instructors are dedicated to teaching diving disciplines and educating trainees about the marine world. SWIM-SCHOOL 

A beach holiday can be a perfect opportunity to learn to swim. Erica, our FIN swimming instructor, will accompany you and/or your children along this path, assisting you with patience and determination. (Paid service) 

PADEL 

Padel is undoubtedly the sport that has had the greatest success in recent years. Celebrities are mad about it (famous sportsmen as well as actors and singers play it) and it seems to be particularly popular with women. We are the first hotel in Portoferraio that offers its guests a regulatory padel court , in collaboration with Padel Club Portoferraio. Our customers will be able to take advantage of three landscaped courts, one of which is under cover (with very convenient opening hours from 7.00 to 24.00), on-site equipment rental and a 10% discount on lessons with individual FIT instructors, for couples or families. GOLF 

The Acquabona Golf Club is located just four kilometres from our hotel. A very scenic hilly course consisting of nine holes with double tees, measuring 5,144 metres with a par of 68. The Hotel Airone has a partner agreement and offers its guests special conditions for using the services offered by the club. 

THERME ON ELBA ISLAND

The Terme di San Giovanni, adjacent to our hotel, offer solutions for such a lot of special requirements, all united by a common denominator: top-quality service, professionalism of the staff and effectiveness of the treatments. Thalassotherapy is practised at the spa, a term that summarises all the benefits that the sea can offer through water, mud, algae and marine plants. 

PETS 

As long as they are small to medium-sized, well behaved and calm, your four-legged friends are welcome at the Hotel Airone and can accompany you both to the restaurant and to the beach (in the dedicated area). You can go for relaxing walks in the park, at all times on a leash. Owners are fully responsible for any damages. The rate for animals to stay at the hotel is €10.00 per night.
